Ben’s Oysters oparate farms in the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand. A total of 12.5 hectares of oyster growing waters makes up their business today. We proudly produce up to 300 tonnes of oysters every year.

Although there is work to be done all year round for 5-6 full time staff, the oyster harvesting season can start mid - April and runs through to December, employing up to 14 staff in the peak of the season.
The oysters continue to condition right through until November/December, once they spawn when the water temperature starts to warm again. The best time for the fattest oysters is July through until the end of October; and for the creamiest oysters November/December.
